News

Yesterday, a new press conference was held by the Dutch Government regarding the combat of the spread of COVID-19. The number of infections is slightly decreasing but there are still many concerns about the British COVID-19 variant. The Dutch Government decided to loosen some measures regarding education, but most measures will remain. Additionally, the Dutch Government asked the Outbreak Management Team for advice regarding the curfew. The expectation is that this will get announced at the end of this week. We will now briefly discuss the current measures.  An elaboration of these new  measures can be found via this link.

Measures regarding VIP

  • We expect that all measures will be maintained during the organization and the actual activities. If there is anything unclear or do you hesitate if it is allowed, your commissioner can help you out!

  • The current rules for collecting acquisition will remain the same. You can find them in the mail that was sent on 13 January.

Measures regarding a committee meeting

  • It is very urgently advised to limit the number of people you receive at home to a maximum of 1 person. This maximum also applies outside (when you are not a household).

Measures in daily life

  • Work from home.

  • Wear a face mask in indoor public spaces and on public transport.

  • All non-essential shops will be closed, essential shops can remain open. Essential shops are supermarkets, drug stores etc.  But from Wednesday, 10 February on you can take away products from shops if you order them 4 hours beforehand online or by telephone.

  • Some contact-based establishments are closed, for example: hairdressers, nail salons and sex establishment. Medical contact based establishments can remain open, for example: dentists, physical therapists etc.

  • Public spaces, such as libraries, sport schools  and cinemas, are closed.

  • All establishments that serve food and drinks must close. Take-away will still be possible.

  • Retail stores (except grocery stores) must close no later than 20.00. There will be no late-night shopping.

  • No alcohol or soft drugs will be sold or delivered between 20.00 and 07.00.

  • Between 20.00 and 07.00 you may not drink alcohol or use soft drugs or have them on your person in public spaces.

  • Taking part in individual sports or team sports with no more than 2 people in total is allowed for anyone aged 18 if they keep a distance of 1.5 meters, but only if it is outside.  Matches and competitions are not permitted.

  • Primary School will open again. But higher education will take place online.

When do we advise you to stay at home because of the COVID-19 virus?

  • You have a cold. You are also expected to stay home if you have a mild cold.

  • You are experiencing a sudden loss of smell or taste

  • You have a fever or an elevated temperature. This means temperatures over 37.5 degrees.

  • When your roommate has one or more of the above symptoms. Wait until the results of their test are known before you can go outside again.

  • Have you, within 2 days before their complaints arose, been in close contact (less than 1.5 metres away) with someone who has been tested for COVID-19? Then stay home. Wait until the result of their test is known before you can go outside.

  • If you have been on holiday to an area where the travel advice is code orange because of corona or have been in contact with someone who tested positive, you should self-quarantine once you get home for 10 days.

Together we stand strong and we hope that we can soon overcome this situation. We hope to see you soon! And remember that you can always contact us when you have a question or just for a chat or a walk!

Stay healthy, stay safe!

Kind regards,
