Hi everyone, what pleasure to meet you!! 

We’re super excited to introduce you to the second Charity Committee to ever exist! We are the Charries, a group of 5 true VIP veterans, and one big feut, coming together to make a positive impact while having a ton of fun along the way. What you can expect from us are endless good vibes and good deeds, and hopefully you will join us sometime along the way. Who knows, maybe we will deliver a flower for you on Valentines day, or let you win a big prize in a raffle for charity... But first, let us introduce ourselves!

Leading our Charity Committee once again is Nymphe. If you know her, you know this committee is essentially her baby. She loves the color orange, being creative, reading and raving. Nymphe is constantly using her creative brain to dream up new inventions—some questionable, like the cheese-popsicle, and some meaningful, like this very committee. Having founded it just last year, she wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye, so she’s back for another run to see her vision through. 

However, once the agendas are set, the creative mastermind retires. You’ll likely find Nymphe relaxing with a fatty and her feet massage machine, expecting a five-star dinner from Wyncko. When she’s chilling a bit too hard, the committee has to remind this 'grandma' that they aren’t Stichting Zonnebloem volunteers here to pamper her, but that there’s actually work to be done!

Talking about work, our secretary this year is Hannah! Hailing from the beautiful Assen, Hannah's task is to make sure that all e-mails are answered and the minutes contain all the relevant information (and any gossip that comes up). In her free time she likes to go thrifting, play roller derby and enjoy music. Hannah's goal for this year is to get our committee's Spinvis haters to enjoy his music as much as she does!

Our third Charrie is Marleine, this year’s feut-fabulous treasurer. She is 20 years old (basically a baby) and in her second year of the bachelor program of psychology in the international track. She loves the color purple, espresso martinis and anything vintage. You can usually find her reading a book or doing some arts and crafts (and sometimes eating an XXL frikandel speciaal). Last year she was active in the yearbook committee, but this year she is ready to let out that dawg in her and do some charity work! Last fun fact: Marleine her comfort food is curry madras! 

Talking about curry, we love it when Wyncko makes curry for us. Besides being the cook of the committee, Wyncko’s function in the committee is being one half of the Charrie promo power couple. On top of that he’s also the certified committee boomer. From complaining about weird interactions he has in the Aldi or asking his fellow committee members what a “twink” is, he's always yapping about something. More often than not resulting in an unfortunate message in the VIP quote group chat.

The other half of our promo-duo this year is Eline. She’s currently finishing her masters in Clinical Psychology, but somehow always finds time for VIP (priorities). During her studies she’s been very active within the association, and with this being her fifth committee, it’s safe to say VIP is basically her roman empire. When she’s not in full promo-daddy mode, creating sick charity promo together with Wyncko, you’ll find her dancing, playing padel or hanging out with friends. One important tip she would like to give you all: be careful playing steen-papier-verdwijn at the Vismarkt, or you might get tripped by a psychotic lady. You have been warned.

Last but not least is our external affairs Maik! A master’s student with a chaotic schedule. Besides studying and working at the university and at Forum, he has a passion for thrifting, food, film, photography, coffee, and live music. In short: never enough time! One thing he does not have a passion for: pink vases. He also loves going out; unfortunately, he sometimes has trouble sensing when the night should end and in some cases switches into VIP-plus mode (not very wise). In addition to maintaining all relationships with partners this year, his task is therefore to keep the VIP-plus status of our committee “high”!

The Charity Committee organizes events and fundraisers/initatives to raise money and donations for local and national charities, such as Amnesty International and Het Overweeghuis.
