How much do you know about your brain?

Research has shown that our brain’s unconscious processes can have considerable influence on our behaviour. This means that there is little room for free will. Neuropsychologist André Aleman on the other hand champions the role of conscious thinking. What you do and who you are has a great deal to do with what you’re thinking and what you want. Moreover, we can consciously influence our own thoughts and actions in order to attain our goals. Although there is certainly a role for the unconscious, professor Aleman shows that deliberate thought processes can steer us in the right direction. The fact that our brain is engaged is what makes us unique.

So, did we caught your attention on the topic? Come join us this coming 26th of March for an interesting lecture on ‘Taking control of the Brain: The Role of Conscious Thinking’ by professor André Aleman
