Hi everyone!

We are very excited to announce the theme of our third lecture: Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS). During this lecture, Liza Neto Gomes de Almeida will tell you all about FAS.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is the direct result of alcohol use during pregnancy. Brain damage of children with FAS is irreversable and causes different physical and mental problems, such as retarded growth, poorly developed memory and conscience. FAS is coming home after two weeks of vacation and not know how to ride your bike. FAS is running away and getting lost, not knowing where your boundaries are, or getting in prison without understanding what you have done wrong. What more is FAS, how can you signal FAS, and how to handle it as a proffesional? Come to our lecture, which will offer two hours full of photo's, short movies and stories about the syndrome. The lecture will be given by students who help children with FAS, (foster) parents and young people with FAS, the real experts.

Furthermore, the lecture will be given in college tour form. Therefore, it might be a good idea to already think of questions you can ask.
