Events

Just like each year, VIP will join the biggest relay race of the world. The Batavierenrace is a
relay race over 175 km from Nijmegen to Enschede, divided into 25 stages varying from 3.6
km to 10.4 km. More than 8500 will participate in the race, all students! We will spend the
night in tents on the campus of the university of Enschede.

The Batavierenrace is a mixture of a competitive sport-event as well as a big social event.
After the race, the biggest party for students in Europe takes place, with over 12,000 visitors!
Long story short: A great opportunity to be out with your team for a few days and be part of a fantastic event!

Do you want to be a part of our enthusiastic VIP-team? That’s possible!
VIP will offer professional training twice a week to get you ready for the relay race. These
training sessions will take place on Tuesday (17:30-18:30) and Thursday (17:30-18:30): On
Tuesday, we will have professional running trainings in Stadspark, on Thursday we will have
bootcamp training at the Noorderplantsoen by a ‘Mystery Vipper’ whom you probably all
might know. The bootcamp trainings will start on the 22nd of February, the running trainings will start on the 6th of March.

Maximum costs for the weekend will be €37,- for VIP-members and max. €53,- for non-VIP-
members.

The VIP team will consist of 25 people. We select our team based on people's training attendance. This means that the more often you attend, the higher your chance is to be a part of the team! So keep the training dates in mind!! If you're not able to come to the training days, but you really want to join our team, you have to contact us so we can talk about a solution (eventcomittee@vipsite.nl).
